Mad Streets

So I was just casually surfing the web and checking my Twitter when I came across a twitter account ‘@madstreetsgame‘. It got my attention, I went to their profile and was amazed to see clips of a promising casual fighting game.

I stuck around and kept scrolling through their feed, I got more and more attracted towards the game. Then I decided to research more about the game and write a post about it, letting others know about this wonderful upcoming game.

So here it is,

Mad Streets is a physics based multiplayer, couch co-op, beat em up/fighter. Being put together by Craftshop Arts based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Mad Streets is a game anyone can pick up on a party night and have a lot of fun straightaway.

It is set to release in July 2020 on all major platforms.

It has a really great UI which is simplistic and engaging at the same time.

Featuring up to 4 players this game is your best pick for a house party or reunion. Sit down on the couch and get ready to experience some intense fun for hours to come.

Features 20+Characters to pick from,

This game consists of many interesting modes:-

CHALLENGE MODE.
STORY MODE.
VERSUS MODE, and many more.

1. CHALLENGE MODE:- A series of fun mini games based on basic fighting mechanics.

2. STORY MODE:- A storyline revolving around 4 characters who have beef with the members of a football team. The fights will be 1v1s, 1v2s or 2v2s.

As you progress through the story more characters and arenas will be unlocked. These can be used in VERSUS and CHALLENGE mode.

3. In VERSUS MODE:-

STREET FIGHT: An old fashioned street fight with punches kicks and jabs.

REFEREE MATCH: Official Referee calls and enforces rules in various types of matches, for instance Singles or Tag Team.

TOSS EM’: Matches that require you to remove your opponent from the fight arena, to win.

BOXING: Classic 1 v 1 boxing match in a Gym.

RANDOM: Randomly ruled matches, no boxing mode included.

You can pick up and throw wooden logs, stones and much more onto your opponents.

You have to charge your special move meter to be able to perform a Signature/KO move.

‘Mad Streets’ is still in development so there might be a few tweaks here and there and more content will be added by the devs.

The Battle of Streaming Platforms

If you’re a streamer or a gamer who uses platforms like twitch.tv , Mixer , Youtube Gaming these news should concern you.

Amazon ‘s Twitch.tv Microsoft ‘s Mixer Google ‘s Youtube Gaming , Facebook ‘s Facebook Gaming all are in a war right now for the throne of ‘Best streaming platform around the globe’.

So you guys must’ve already heard the news of Ninja joining Mixer.

The prized possession, the crown of Twitch was stolen or to be specific bought out.

Shots had been fired, and everyone was waiting for Twitch’s response.

Twitch deceided to sign Nick Eh 30 the 4.6M followers Youtube Streamer.

Nick Eh 30 is a 24 Year old Canadian who streams Fortnite every single day.

Nick Eh 30 is partnered with ASUS ROG.

Also Caffeine the another lesser known Game streaming platform entered the frey by signing Offset a rapper who is supposed to run 2 game centric shows for this platform. 20th Century Fox invested $100 million into this streaming service last year to bring sports and live music to the platform.

At first Mixer stole the Crown i.e. Ninja and now the King was gone.

People were shocked to hear Shroud, The King of Reddit has joined Mixer.

This was the ultimate grab, Mixer had acquired ‘Shroud’.

Shroud is an retired Counter-Strike : Global Offensive Professional player, who had 7M followers on twitch and endorsements from brands like HyperX.

Mixer kept going and signed Cory ‘King Gothalion’ Michael a twitch streamer with 1M following, primarily known for streaming Destiny .

Twitch bought NICKMERCS

NICKMERCS is a super streamer with 3M followers on Twitch , 2M SUBS on Youtube , 1.1M followers on Twitter and 14 K concurrent viewers on streams before getting signed.

Twitch signed DrDisrespect

Earlier when Ninja made the switch DrDisrespect stated that for him to go to Mixer the numbers should have to be crazy.

He said he must be paid at least whatever Ninja got or possibly even more. So one has to wonder what Doc got paid and for what period of time he is signed to Twitch.

Mixer fired back again by signing FaZe Ewok.

Ewok is a 14 year female Twitch streamer, who had a quarter Million followers.

She is the first ever female content creator for FaZe Clan.

Youtube decided to jump into the battle and then,

100 Thieves content creator CourageJD announced that he will be streaming exclusively to Youtube.

Courage boasted 2.1 M followers on Twitch before switching to Youtube.

Then Facebook Gaming decided to enter by signing few big names.

Facebook signed 2 Spanish Streamer NexxusHD and Lolito FDEZ.

Later Facebook also signed Hearthstone streamer Disguised Toast a 28 Year Canadian.

Key things to remember: We have just started, we got a long way to go.

Even though Mixer is signing big names and pouring Millions of dollars on their platform, Twitch looks to be way ahead in the race.

But one key thing is that these streamers have signed multi year multi-million contracts with Mixer. So even if Mixer looks like it is losing, Things might be different by next year’s November.

The thing to watch out for is,

Streamers like Pokimane, Scump the King of COD, Crimsix, chocoTaco, Cloakzy, the ultimate streaming legend summit1g, and many more are still unsigned.

If these people get signed too by other platforms by next year then we can see a world where twitch will have to up their standards in order to hold onto the market.

Twitch really needs to fix their issues, Banning innocent people and cutting slack to big streamers like Alinity Divine is one of many reasons streamers are jumping the ship.

HOW COPPA SCREWED YOUTUBERS

Youtube paid $170 Million to FTC as a fine for Violation of Children’s Privacy Law.

Youtube channels were allegedly collecting kids’ personal information without parental consent thereby violating the COPPA.

Starting from 2020 Youtubers have to comply with COPPA or else their content will be taken down and they can be fined upto $42,000 per video.

The ‘Youtube Creators‘ channel has received much hate and harsh comments on their video regarding COPPA compliance.

What is COPPA?

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA) is a United States federal law.

What is FTC?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is an independent agency of the United States government
Its principal mission is the promotion of consumer protection and the enforcement of civil (non-criminal) U.S. antitrust law through the elimination and prevention of anti competitive business practices.

The FTC and COPPA states that showing personalised or targeted advertisements or any kind of stuff which provoke kids to do wrong things is against the law.

The FTC says that kids(considering age to be below 13) cannot differentiate between ads and content.

Showing personalized ads to these kids is unethical and against the law.

Videos marked as made for kids will have

Comments disabled.
No personalized or Targeted Ads.
No Info cards.
No End Screens.
No Stories.
No Notification Bell.
No Community Tab
No Save to ‘Watch Later’.
No Save to ‘Playlist’.

Youtube has asked every content creator to comply with COPPA’s rules and regulations.

Youtube asks every content creator to mark their content as “Made for Kids” or as “Not made for kids” to ensure that kids won’t watch videos not intended for them.

Youtube has introduced an audience setting that lets Youtubers tell the platform if the content is made for kids or not.

You can set your whole channel’s audience status according to all videos that you post by determining if they are “For Kids” or “Not for Kids“. Alternatively you can also do this at video level.

But How does this affect Content Creators?

Youtube has defined these guidelines to determine type of content,

Factors to Consider:-

The subject matter of the video
If children are the intended audience
If it includes child actors or models
If it includes characters, celebrities or toys that appeal to children
If it uses language that is meant for children to understand
If it includes activities that appeal to children
If it includes songs, stories or poems that appeal to children

Considering above statements Youtubers can no longer play games like Spiderman, Pokemon, Minecraft, Roblox while using adult language in a video intended for adults.

Think about channels like MrBeast, PewDiePie who have child audience to some extent.

Starting from 2020 FTC can take down content from any channel that doesn’t oblige to the rules of COPPA and even fine them upto $42,000 per video.

Family vlogging has become a risky niche for content creation as these videos are suitable for kids but at the same time may have stuff not suitable for kids.

Some might argue these things should affect only ‘Youtube Kids’.

Yeah it should’ve affected only ‘Youtube Kids’ but Youtube has always showed off its popularity amongst children.

Google has stated the following statements about Youtube in the past,

Youtube is #1 website regularly visited by children.
Youtube is unanimously voted as favorite website for kids in age group of 2-12.
Youtube is leader in reaching kids in the age group of 6-11 against top TV channels.

And all these statements came back to haunt them, hence even Youtube in general has to comply to FTC’s COPPA.

Many big and small youtubers will lose upto 90% of their revenue generated per month due to these new rules.

Now once again content creators are paying the price for Youtube’s mistakes.

THE ‘OG’ CSGO ROSTER

So OG finally completed their CSGO roster.

What is OG?

OG is a big name in dota2 esports scene, it is the only esports team to win more than 1 dota2 ‘s TI(The International).

OG was rumoured to be in talks with Nathan ‘NBK’ Schmitt and Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen.

According to a earlier report from 1pv

OG was said to be recruiting:-

1.Nathan ‘NBK‘ Schmitt.

2.Aleksi ‘Aleksib‘ Virolainen.

3.Issa ‘ISSAA‘ Mura.

4.Valdemar ‘Valde‘ Bjørn Vangså.

5.Elias ‘Jamppi‘ Olkkonen.

But soon after issues with Jamppi’s VAC banned account surfaced and became a big problem with his signing.

Jamppi has another account that is VAC banned which he states was sold to someone years ago and the account got VAC banned after selling.

OG decided to go with a different player and went with, Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski

Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski is a Polish Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player

So the new OG Esports CSGO roster is,

1.Nathan ‘NBK‘ Schmitt.

2.Aleksi ‘Aleksib‘ Virolainen.

3.Issa ‘ISSAA‘ Mura.

4.Valdemar ‘V4lde‘ Bjørn Vangså.

5. Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski.

Talking about this roster,

This could very well be the top 3/top 5 CSGO Team, looking at these player’s individual performances.

On paper this roster is built for success, but so was FaZe Clan back in 2017 when they announced GuardiaN and olofmeister. Did not work out as expected for them.

But things are a little different here, we have possibly one of the best CSGO IGL in the world in Aleksib.

Benching Aleksi from ENCE ROSTER , was one of the worst moves ENCE has made so far.

Same goes for Vitality benching ‘NBK’ , our other star for this star studded lineup.

NBK is one of the greatest french player. The experience and firepower he brings to the table will undeniably be a key ingredient to their success.

Moving on to ‘ISSAA‘,

ISSAA is a former HR player.

This Jordanian talent is very good with the AK. and can be the spearhead of the team on T side. He has had a good career so far and is respected for his fantastic raw aiming skills.

Now, ‘v4lde ‘ the Danish veteran.

v4lde (Valde) is a HLTV top #20 player for 2018.

Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács picked him as the player to watch in 2017.

‘v4lde‘ with approx 0.88 KDR is another beast in this lineup.

Last but not the least, ‘mantuu‘

Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski is a Polish player resident of UK, whose age is 27 and currently plays for team ALTERNATE aTTaX.

People are concerned about this player but seeing how newer players have worked for teams like Vitality with ZywOo and FaZe with broky, it is hard to doubt him or call him a rookie as he has had good experience in the ALTERNATE aTTaX roster.

Let’s just hope he doesn’t crumble under the pressure of playing for a TIER 1 CSGO Esports Org/Team and playing with the bests around the globe.
